OUR WHY

Lightsapp was born out of a desire to make finding work to support life circumstances easier. Founders Jacqui Custodio and Fulvio Inserra shared the belief that finding flexible work shouldn’t be so hard. IT professional Jacqui had experienced the challenge of finding flexible work after a parental break. She felt ‘excluded’ and this drove her to find a solution. Entrepreneur Fulvio recognized employers were struggling to engage flexible talent to support change within their organisations.

As the platform grew, tides in hiring were beginning to turn. Employers now embrace on-demand consumption of talent to support growth and agility. Diversity is more important than ever. Young or old, anywhere on the gender spectrum, part time or contract. 45% of the workforce is contingent and that number's growing not shrinking.
